Cyril Ibe

Communication and Media Specialist

Cyril Ibe, Ph.D., is a communications and media relations professional with years of experience. He currently serves as a Media Relations Specialist for Central State University Land-Grant Communications. Prior to joining Land-Grant Communications, Cyril was as an assistant professor of Journalism and Digital Media at Central State University. He has taught as an adjunct professor of Communication Studies at Wilberforce University, and in Chicago State University’s Department of Communication, Media Arts and Theatre. After joining the Central State University faculty, he also worked as host/executive producer of Miami Valley Journal, a public affairs program on WCSU-FM. Cyril worked as a newspaper reporter in north suburban Chicago; and hosted and produced an Africa-focused news magazine show on several Chicago area commercial and noncommercial radio stations. Cyril received a BA in mass communications from Central State University; MSJ in journalism from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio; and a Ph.D. in health sciences from Trident University, Cypress, Calif.
