When Fox joined WCSU as general manager in January 2020, he brought 30 years of award-winning (including the Emmy and Angel) experience creating, producing and/or supervising distribution of award-winning TV programming for ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR, PBS affiliates and WORLDNET TV.
As Director of the Maryland Film Commission, Fox initiated the Warner Bros Mid-Atlantic Screenwriters Program and Multicultural Producers Think Tank – fostering a culturally inclusive and globally competitive workforce.
When President Clinton appointed him as Director of the WORLDNET Film and TV service, Fox expanded the satellite teleconferencing operation into the nation’s first global TV network promoting U.S. culture and policy serving more than 1,400 broadcast and cable outlets worldwide. His leadership, programming and staff development initiatives are recognized by the International Bureau for Broadcasting’s Meritorious Honor Award. (WORLDNET was rebranded Voice of America TV in 2004.) In 2011, Fox launched FNX: First Nations Experience, the first U.S. TV channel celebrating Indigenous cultures (PBS).
From 2015 to 2019, Fox revitalized the Wilberforce University Mass Communications Department to become the institution’s largest and most productive academic division. The Southwest Ohio Council for Higher Education recognized Fox's initiatives with the 2018 Faculty Excellence Award.
Fox earned certification in Executive Leadership, EEO Management and Mediation. He is an alum of the Johns Hopkins University graduate Writing Seminars.
