Judge Orders Detroit Mayor Jailed

The saga of Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick continues. A judge ordered the embattled mayor to jail after he took an unapproved trip to Canada. This is the second time the mayor, who is facing perjury charges, took an unapproved trip abroad.

Kilpatrick apologized to the court for the infraction, but the judge was not amused.

The mayor must get together $750,000 in bail to get out of detention.

The story said that Kwame Kilpatrick needed to post $750,000 bail. He actually needed to come up with $7,500 in cash -- 10 percent of his $75,000 bond.
