Composer Herbie Hancock

Herbie Hancock was one of the first musicians to embrace synthesizers and Funk music in his jazz improvisation. He possesses a unique creative blend of jazz, blues, soul & modern classical music. Some of his big recordings include "Cantaloupe Island," Watermelon Man," Maiden Voyage," "Chameleon," & "Rockit." Hancock was an integral member in the Miles Davis Quintet in the early 60's where he found his own voice as a pianist and created new ways to use common chords that hadn't previously been used in jazz. Herbie Hancock, the consummate Jazz artist.
